Unit Management


Navigating to Unit Management in the Platform Administrator Unit

  • Select the Platform Administrator unit in your Nuventive Improvement platform

  • Open the main menu with the “hamburger” icon

  • Open Unit Management

  • Note: Your instance may use different naming conventions for menu items

  • Note: Please submit a request in Trello for assistance with creating or editing units


Renaming a Unit

  • Open Unit Management in the Platform Administrator unit

  • You can search for the unit you would like to rename in the Filter by Keyword area or scroll through the table of courses. You can also filter by Parent Unit or Filter by Unit Group.

  • Find the row of the unit you would like to rename, then select the three-dot ellipses at the end of the row and Edit

  • Make any edits to the Unit Name field then select the SAVE button at the top right of the page


Hiding (Archiving) a Unit

  • Open Unit Management in the Platform Administrator unit

  • You can search for the unit you would like to archive in the Filter by Keyword area or scroll through the table of courses. You can also filter by Parent Unit or Filter by Unit Group.

  • Find the row of the unit you would like to hide, then select the three-dot ellipses at the end of the row and Edit

  • Nuventive recommends adding a “z” to the beginning of the unit name and the date in parentheses to the end of the unit name for easy identification

  • Move the Hidden toggle to the right and select the SAVE button at the top right of the page



Viewing Parent/Child Connections

  • Open Unit Management in the Platform Administrator unit

  • You can search for the unit you would like to view parent/child connections for in the Filter by Keyword area or scroll through the table of courses. You can also filter by Parent Unit or Filter by Unit Group.

  • You can check existing Parent Units and Child Units by selecting the links under Parent Units and Child Units for each unit

  • For reference:

    • Parent Units hold the overarching responsibility (upward alignment) of this unit’s reporting and external mapping alignment

    • Child Units are the units in the reporting line to this unit

  • To edit any parent/child units, please submit a request in Trello
