Accessing the Nuventive Improvement Platform

The Nuventive Improvement Platform is accessible on Mac, Windows and tablet devices and is compatible with all major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

After logging in, your home screen will appear similar to the image below. Please note that your platform may have different naming conventions for menu items and a different look and feel with custom graphics, but the overall layout and navigation will look consistent to these examples.

The platform uses a permissionsbased structure, allowing each user to have access to specific units based on their role. Users can be given access only to the areas they need through your institution’s Platform Administrator unit. Each institution will have different units tailored to their needs; however, the Platform Administrator unit is standard for all institutions. This unit is accessible by only the person(s) who are responsible for the platform’s administration at your institution.

Main Navigation Areas

Access units within the unit drop-down area. The unit drop-down area is where you will locate unit(s) in the platform, including the Platform Administrator unit. Expand the dropdown to view all units that are available. You can scroll through the drop-down list or start typing to search for a specific unit (second example image below). Most platforms will include unit groupings (denoted with a bolded name) for ease of use.

The main menu is accessed with the “hamburger” icon. It is located at the top left of all platform pages for ease of navigation. This is where you will access menu items such as assessment and review areas for different units based on your role. The Platform Administrator unit is where you will access menu items for things like adding courses and managing user roles.

The information panel view options are located at the top right of the screen. Your platform may have linked reports or documents located within the information panel on different pages. On any page with information panel content, you can use the four available icons to adjust the screen layout to your preference. If the page does not have information panel content, you will not see these icons.

• The first icon shows the main screen (100%) and hide the information panel

• The second icon shows a 75/25 view of the main screen (75%) and information panel (25%)

• The third icon shows a 50/50 view of the main screen (50%) and the information panel (50%)

• The fourth icon shows a 25/75 view of the main screen (25%) and the information panel (75%)

Navigation Icons

Throughout the platform you will see the following icons.

	“Hamburger” icon	Used to access the main menu area for each unit
	Three-dot ellipses	Used to open and view more options
	Pencil edit icon	Used to open edit screens
	Plus (+) sign icon	Used to add items such as cards
	Copy	Used to copy items
	Trashcan	Used to delete items
	Audit Log	Used to access the audit log
	Hide icon	Used to hide user help information
	Unhide icon	Used to unhide user help information
